About Bill
Dr. Clark’s experience is unique in that he worked simultaneously in a community mental health center as the Clinical Director/Assistant Executive Director and in private practice as a professional Christian counselor since 1983. His knowledge of psychological and spiritual issues has allowed him to integrate both disciplines into a holistic approach that addresses the body, mind, and soul.
Dr. Clark has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama since 1985. He specializes in a variety of problem areas: mood and anxiety disorders, marital and family conflict, anger management, domestic violence, and stress management. He is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Dr. Clark has a Ph.D. in Psychology from North Central University, a Doctor of Ministry degree (D.Min.) in Christian counseling from Luther Rice Seminary, a Master’s degree in Christian counseling from Trinity International University, a Master’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Alabama.
In March 2015, Dr. Clark retired from community mental health with over 33 years of service. Since 1989, he has founded and directed six private practices. He is currently the executive director of North Alabama Christian Counseling, LLC.
In May 2024, he retired as the executive director of North Alabama Christian Counseling and is pursuing other ministry opportunities.
On a Personal Note
Dr. Clark was married for 51 years but is now a widower. He has two grown sons, three grandchildren, and is living in Huntsville, AL. He enjoys public speaking, teaching, and has a passion for national and international missions.
