Scoring Key

  • Higher scores indicate greater effectiveness in parenting across the measured dimensions.

Interpretation:

  • 120–150: Highly effective parenting style; you demonstrate strong communication, discipline, emotional support, engagement, consistency, and problem-solving skills.

  • 90–119: Moderately effective parenting style; you have a solid foundation but may benefit from refining certain areas of your approach.

  • 60–89: Needs improvement; consider focusing on specific dimensions where your scores were lower to enhance your parenting effectiveness.

  • Below 60: Significant challenges; seek resources or guidance to address areas of concern and strengthen your parenting skills.

This inventory is a tool for self-reflection rather than a diagnostic measure. Use it as a starting point for meaningful conversations about how you can grow as parents together!
